9|3|2009 Pattern Insight Announces changes to the Board of Directors
Board member Winslow Sargeant is nominated by President Barack Obama for a key administration position at the Small Business Administration.
MOUNTAIN VIEW, California — June 11, 2009 — Pattern Insight, a leading provider of system data analysis applications, announced today that board member Winslow Sargeant, managing director at Venture Investors LLC, has been nominated by President Obama for a key administration post at the SBA. Winslow has been nominated as Chief Counsel for Advocacy within the SBA and will report directly to President Obama.
"While we are sad to lose Winslow as a board member, we are happy to see him nominated to such an important post within the SBA. His experience co-founding a successful start-up company, working with small businesses at the NSF, and then working directly with companies like ours gives him a unique set of experiences to enable him to exceed at his new position," said John Lovitt, CEO of Pattern Insight.
With the upcoming departure of Sargeant, Scott Button (Managing Director at Venture Investors LLC) will join the board of directors effective July 1, 2009. "We'd like to thank Winslow for his service to Pattern Insight. While we're losing an asset, we're confident that Scott will be able to contribute immediately since we have worked with him for the past year and a half," commented Dr. Yuanyuan Zhou, co-founder and President of Pattern insight.
In addition to acting as a managing director at Venture Investors LLC, Sargeant serves as a director at the prestigious University of Wisconsin Foundation along with serving as vice chairman of the UW-Madison Astronomy Board of Visitors. Winslow also sits on the board at several other high-tech startup companies.
